Artist statement

It is the freshness and spontaneity of watercolour that fascinates me and remains at the heart of my artistic approach. I like paradoxes when, as in life, everything is mixed and made sublime. The play of shadow and light, translucency and granularity, mineral and organic, abstract and figurative merge, blend and combine in a succession of hazards and emotions. From my superimposition of materials and colours are born the textures that inspire me. Thus, my universe imposes and reveals itself little by little. Seeking as much to transmit my poetic vision of moments of travel and contact with nature, as to convey an emotion, a smell, a feeling or a memory. I let myself be guided by my instincts, the freedom of movement and the unexpected softness that this medium imposes.
